Hello all,

Please look at this Soarer,

I haven't seen any others with this colour. Is it likely to be a respray colour change?

Thanks

Derek,

That is a standard Soarer color.
Toyota paint code is:
6M3. Officially known as "Grayish Green Metallic", but commonly referred to as "Teal".

Yes, but they no longer have the actual colour apparently. 6M3 from Toyota is now a silver spruce found on the estima family wagons and camry's, so paint shops do not know what to mix, so custom is the only way if you want to paint your kit.

it wouldnt be hard to mix the colour up, spray painters have colour swatches they use when a colour does not come up on there system.

find it hard to believe that colour doesnt come up on the system.

I will punch it in ours when i go back to work .

Yeah, I think the panel beater was a bit slack. I got my bumper sprayed, the paint is fine in the shade, but when in the sunlight, it's complete wrong. I guess he used the wrong pearl through it?

not even sure if there is pearl in it,
probably metallic more then anything, thats why it is better to blend into the next panel . pretty had matching pearls and metallics .

even new cars look slightly differant on the bars to the rest of the car . to the trained eye anyway

Was at the local panel beater the other day and checked the Soarer 6M3 colour. It is indeed Greyish Green Metallic(known as Teal) and is shown in the Glasurit computer colour chart and also on the colour prophey card system at Glasurit dealers. Can be mixed no problems. Check it out.
