We dont work in that archaic unit called a gallon, so you will have to convert yourself...

Unleaded Regular (ron 91) ~$1.40/L in WA
Unleaded Premium (ron 95) ~ ??? Someone help me out here? =P
Unleaded Ultimate (ron 98) ~$1.50/L <-- usually ~10c more than regular and what most of the turbo owners will be using. Im sure many v8 and jzz31 owners use it as well.

4 litres in a gallon, thus $6.00 for Ultimate. Oh, now I see why you would want a Yaris! LOL

Callum; 95 octane (here in QLD) is normally around 5 cents more than 91. so for you it is about 1.45, but it is a little cheaper here in QLD, on average we are paying 1.38 for 98, and 1.28 for regular. Or better still, get the Shell V-Power Racing its 100 octane for $1.55, pfft. still a rip off in my opinion. well that's my 2cents worth

Sorry Jose, I thought you were talking about a private import. The taxes here aren't too bad for foreign cars. Now I see why there are so many Holdens in Australia!
Even here though, the only place you will see a majority of Japanese cars in on the west coast.

Holden and Ford in Aus are getting pretty good at making cars these days now, and they have been good in the past as well.

The negative attention towards them from ricers like you will see here is because there are a bunch of bogans who give the cars a bad name with their crappy driving and dickhead skillz

Maybe slowly getting better now, in the past their quality was always sh|t, when compared to other brands. Always. THink XD/XF/EA/ED Falcon and more, or VB/VC/VL/VN all the way to VZ commodores. Better than Koreans I might add :-)

Yes, their bogan image doesn't help them either...

I have reports from my panel beater that once you pull the skin back on a new Ford, you see the shortcuts.

I only speak for cars which are making more of a footprint on the international stage and not for their build quality =P

But when you look at the sorts of cars they are brining out it is on the upswing.

You go back prior to the 90's and you will see some great cars as well, albeit some are modified versions of international models in the early years they still take the Aussie title.

You lucky Yanks have really cheap registration as well. That's seems to be why every second driveway has a spare Ford or Chev pick up sitting around. Costs us thousands if we want a couple of extra cars, even if you don't drive them.
