| I took my wiper arms to a spray painter and had them colour coded to the car ($50) and finished them off with Isotta chrome blades ($120). Very neat result. |

| Anything wrong with getting a can of black spray paint from Bunnings and DIY? Mine look a treat now. Then again, I only had flaking paint, no rust... |

| why would you highlight wiper arms? They are ugly utilitarian things, and most modern car designs hide them behind the edge of the bonnet. |

- Not so ugly when you clean them up a bit. Unfortunately for most of us we have these older outdated cars hey!

- if that was the case then wouldn't all bonnets have to be matt as well - much bigger area and the bonnet is right in your face!!! My chrome wiper blades have been on the car for a few years now and I drive into the sun on the way to work every morning - no issues with glare. I guess the shiny ones on your car are causing you grief with the glare issue otherwise you would not have commented!!! |

| I had chromed wipers on my Sprint, and they were a right pain in the arse in the summer glare wise. Mind you it WAS an old car (1976) and the wipers were very prominant. |

Maybe in Australia, and maybe even in NZ now, but this was in NZ in the mid '90's on a 20 year old car, and they were factory standard I think. |

| Thanks for the comments. Not all positive of course, but each to his own. There is no problem with glare and I live in Queensland. As for looking cheap, I think if you saw them on the car, you may change your mind. I like them so much I have just done the rear wiper as well. |

| I still think painting them silver is liking putting lipstick on a dog's balls. We all know they are there, and they serve a purpose but you don't want to make them MORE noticeable. |
