Has anyone or does anyone know of anybody who has done harlequin paint on a soarer? Just got a batch in and was considering doing my car in it. Just wondering how it would look?

I agree harlequin paint don't look good on Soarer, Soarer are more suited with dark colours (i reckon)

Kinda suits big bling utes or small boxy hot hatches, but way too gauche for a Soarer.

Harlequin, or "The Flipper" as we say in the motorcycle fraternity, really only suits bikes in my humble opinion. Although having said that, it can look pretty trick on a hot rod with enough chrome to sink a battleship. Saw a 55 Mercury on swap meet weekend getting around with the Flipper and the biggest white-walled tyres conceived.. niiiiice... but I wouldn't personally destroy a Soarer with it.

Halequin also sucks when some arse scratches the paint, because you can never get the panel back to the same batch colour as the rest of the car, rendering you up for a complete respray to make the car perfect again. B.

Yup looks like complete ass. As Lawrence mentioned earlier, there was a fella on Ebay who I came across when looking for my TT. He was still trying to sell it six months after I had finalised the purchase of my car, which took 3 months.

Hadn't even thought of that Brian. Looks like a pretty decisive decision against it! I scored a heap of it for cheap and wasn't sure how it would go.

I'd off-load it to some hot head who wants his rotary to look different. For a nice paint job I like the look of one of the new Ford colours, not sure if it's called 'Lightning strike' but it's a metallic grey.

I haven't seen that color Dave but i will try and track it down to have a look, thanks mate. I'm sure it wont be that hard to off-load, it normally sells for near $1000 a litre!

You can use it for things like spraying pipes, and other bits, but I wouldn't paint an entire car with it... Pearl on the other hand, damn nice B.

Something about harlequin paint on a 2 door car. Just doesn't look right. Have seen 2 Soarers with it and it's a shocker. Shame because it is a lot of work and money to do it.

I'd laugh, then vomit. Throw in some Playboy seat covers, a tin can for an exhaust, and a "Bad Girl" sticker on the rear window for good feral measure |
