Would anyone know how long it takes for stuff to ship from the US? The prototype brackets are on their way here but it's nearing three weeks. Any ideas? (yes I have the receipt of postage from the supplier). It's being sent through USPS (first class mail).
I've ordered heaps of stuff shipped via UPS on Thursday afternoon (US time) and arrived on my doorstep Monday morning 4 days later.
I'm currently waiting on something shipped USPS which left on Monday 17th March which looks like it should arrive Monday 24th (according to tracking logs).
A few teething problems, the RX330 projectors are massive, with the brackets in place it barely fits in the housing, they sit too far forward. I haven't had much time to work on the project (working 8-6 everyday) but over the weekend I'm going to slightly shave the brackets and test mount everything together.
Everything has been put together as of 15 minutes ago, waiting for the silicone to settle (for the rubber linings on the lights).
In the end I have ended up going for the RX330 projectors with a D4S xenon set up as opposed to a D2S set up, it worked out to cost about the same however I scored new Denso/Philips parts for about $350 landed.
I must say, I will never EVER use RX330 projectors again in a retrofit... they are absolutely huge and barely fit in the Soarer's headlamp housings.
Once I get the headlights in the car (give or take about 30 minutes I'll aim and test them out. (fingers crossed, hoping it's all been worth it hahahaha).
And they're in! Not completely finished as I still have to deline the projector area of the headlight lenses, but it all works sweet. They also need to be aligned properly as well.
This is an upgrade I would recommend to anyone if they're thinking of getting an HID kit; in regards to the output there's no comparison between the two (and I had an HID plug and play kit in both of my Soarers for about 4 years).
Sorry about the picture quality, I'll try to take some nicer ones tomorrow.
RX330 projectors in the headlights, looks nearly factory but not an easy job!
Some output pictures... promise I'll take better ones tomorrow
A long journey is about to close with this one, and it's about bloody time hahaha
Enjoy!

if not at least give the actual projector glass and insides a clean... no Soarer deserves crap lighting.
Yeah definitely its something Ive been planing to do. In a couple of weeks Im going to give my 1996 Soarers lights the long awaited magic treatment.......... Pop them in the oven to open them up and do a full sand with wet and dry followed by a extensive cut/polish to get looking mint, clean the insides out to every inch, clean up the projector glass as you say and replace the Orange plastic filter for a Clear orange bulb, as well as replacing the Parkers for whiter ones and getting some decent strong white bulbs around the 4000k+ mark sorta what the Nivara range offers.
They should look immaculate when they go back in and put on to my Limited, along with the Glass fog lights..... Mmmm!
Still tossing up the idea of buying the clear lenses, very very tantalising Probably that and swap the lenses out on the RX330 projectors to E30's and it'll be even moe of a night and day difference.

I'll take some photos tonight jose, but i dont know if you really need to buy the clear lens's. it took about half an hour or so on each to get ride of the groves. It still looks factory which is good. I need to aim mine, they are pointing at the ground basically
What grit sandpaper did you use mate? If possible I'd like to get the projector area clear but after lots of reading it seems people have spent hours just to deline.
