thanks miles, yeah the colour is a ford colour called 'shockwave' came out on hte ba and bf series 1 but has been discontinued, its a blue with a pearl in it looks awesome in the sun its just a pity its on fords lol
nik the kit is a genuine vertex kit purchased from zero-one trading imported from vertex japan, masato hara is a employee and is on this forum, you also recieve all the certificates from vertex japan with serial numbers etc you pay extra for the genuine kit but i havent seen anything as straight as this is out of the box, pretty much prime it and paint it lol i cant wait to get the kit on and all the clear lights and grille in |

nik forgot to mention the kit even comes with all holes drilled for installation and also the rear bar has the nuts fibreglassed into it already for easier installation. my panel beater has said its the best fibreglass work he has seen on a bodykit and said the only way it would be better is if it was the plastic like an original bar. you can contact them directly at http://www.vertex-aus.com/main_top.html |

Cool. I was thinking about repainting the blue section of my 55 in either that or the blue on the Mazda 3 from a couple years ago. |

Damm now having him say that the kit is that good is saying something. As slow as he is, damm he is doing a good job! He should be good at it now, having done a few. |

yeh i know a white one that was done there lol man yours looks so much better with 94 lights ryan! i want 97 ones though so ill sell my bro my 94's cheap when i get the money to do it lol
miles yeah the mazda sp23 colour i was thinking of too but the guy up the rd painted his 300zx in it and it looked well.. it didnt look right it was way too light a shade of blue than i wanted so i went this cause its bit darker. |

put the bov in dodgy till i get the cooler pipes remade properly. (excuse teh 7 months of dust and grit in the engine bay lol)
wing, handles outer mirrors eyelids and some other small parts sprayed..

ok walked in today to fit a few things and found it in the spray booth yay!! lol wasnt allowed in as still drying but took a pic from outside. ill get some more this arvo if i can get there after work before they close up..

thanks heaps john got a few more pics tonight i put my wheels back on for some of them to get an idea how the shadowchrome looked with the colour as i was hoping they didnt look dark as i dont like dark rims but look sweet
all that needs painting now is the front guards and the doors

thanks adrain, i cant wait to see it with the rest painted and the kit fitted i think thats what will set it off is getting it all back together lol
i hate the look of the engine bay cause its sooo dirty and untidy im going to have to try clean it up a bit redo the vacuum hoses, cooler piping get all teh stuff i have installed etc etc |

attempted to try clean the engine bay with a brush to no avail lol made a top radiator hose and fitted a few more engine covers to try cover up all the parts.. bay needs to be cleaned with water the dust it too stubborn to get off specially from all the old shine on it lol
going to attempt to clean up the wiring and stray hoses etc and move the catch can to under the brake master cylinder to give me more room near the front of the bay..

few more pics..
some interior back in, rear quarter glass in, bonnet, front guards and doors fitted up to be painted.
rear end and bar on.. perfect fit except small gap to accomodate 97 rear lights i think.. ill have to find out..

ok getting really close!!!!!!!
front is sprayed, all needs doing now is door innards(mirrors, glass and trim) side skirts and the front reassembled!!!
so hopefully next week i should have it back in my hands

actually ryan it will be 8 months and 7 days lol happened on 1st of the 6th last yr lol
thanks everyone i wish you could all see it in real life as it doesnt even look like the ford colour due to the bodylines of the soarer gives a total different look. a few of my friends drove past it while it was out the front and sent me msg's saying they cant believe thats the colour in the pics haha
had the rear mufflers extended to match the rear bar.. caught simon half way through buffing the paint for the first time lol

one annoying thing is i have lost 8 months rego on the car.... the insurance company (nrma) wont pay for the damaged wheels, dash, dvd player, a/c display and a few other little things aswell which i have lost alot of money on... so much for looking after their customers... anyone that knows anyone with a good insurance price for under 25 yr olds let me know as im looking for one now.. ill try shannons and just car first see how i go.. |
