Does anyone have a photo of these on a white or light coloured car? I'd love to get a set but I'm not too sure which ones (the black or the silver) would go better on my white car...

Not really a big fan of those. I looked at one a buddy had on his SC400 and they looked too "plasticy cheap" for my taste. I reluctantly purchased new ones from Lexus for $600, and I mean to tell you I was stunned at how new they made my SC300 look like brand new!!! Nobody can tell my car is a '92, everybody always guesses '99 or 2000!!

Hi Ben,

I rang CMI Toyota here in Adelaide a few days ago to order some brake pads and out of curiousity I asked about the headlights. The high beams were $376.16 and the Low Beams were a staggering $945.26 at the discounted rate that the store gives us. By the way, that price is per headlight, not for the set....

I'm currently talking with a mob called Everlast based out in Wingfield SA. They recondition headlights, taking them back to bare plastic, polishing them up, reapplying the UV protection etc. Apparently all for less than $200. They can also repair the mounting brackets. I'm going to be visiting them shortly to get more of an idea as to what they can do and will be negotiating a special deal for Soarer Central and ALSC members if I can. I'll keep everyone posted.

Anyone wanting a professional polish on their lights (they come to you) for $110.00 and you live on or near the Sunshine Coast, you can contact Glass Technology, 0411 878195. Kevin can help you out.

I think the black ones look unfinished. They have simply removed the chrome insert. It would have been better if they had shadow chromed it or at least kept the insert in but had it with a gloss black finish.

As it stands it looks like the same dull plastic that you find when you take out the chrome insert on your existing lights.

There also doesn't seem to be enough good pictures of these fitted. I found this one below to add to the mix...

I dont know how they price the new high and low beams there, but I bought mine from a local Lexus dealer for $600 a set for low and $400 a set for high beam. Good luck with your search!!

These things are porn. Still no one got any shots of em on a lighter coloured car? I'm keen to see how black edging on the inside edge of the light comes up.

Yeah i now have em installed on my white soarer. But... i need to give it a wash before i take pictures.

They went in nicely with the only catch being that the signal lights are further out than stock and therefore the stock wiring is almost too short to reach and may need to be lengthened. Also changing the signal bulb will be difficult due to them being further out.

Also the HID cutoff line is VERY sharp. They are also a little tricky to adjust but i will get them dialed in just right soon enough.

The auto elect I took the car to to get these lights wired up maneuvered the loom enough to get it to reach the indicator.

Can anyone confirm if these low beam lights are directional or straight?

I mean do US ones aim higher right, and Japan/Aus ones aim higher left? Or both aim dead straight and don't need to worry?

YES the U.S ones will NOT be suited to AUSTRALIAN roads.
This has been covered a fair few times on previous discussions.

the HIGH BEAMS on the other hand are fine.

Are the US ones really noticeable or mainly just annoying to others?
