Hey all,

I noticed after storing my Soarer for the Canadian winter that I've got very small rust spots appearing on the front fenders, right where they meet with the headlights.

I want to resolve this issue quick, and hopefully without a whole repaint. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Thanks in advance.

That might suggest previous damage. Soarers have galvanised bodies, so don't normally rust.

Not that it helps you much, but hopefully someone else can when they all wake up. :-)

AWAKE! Sleep time now though.

Peter is right, rust is quite uncommon on a soarer even when its really cold like in canada.

You can sand the rust spot back prim and touch up paint it, may not look that great though.

If they are spots, it takes real long for it to spread. I had them on my old car after getting a whole heap of salt water on it on a hot day. The spots didn't actually get bigger or anything.

Otherwise, the only way is to get rid of it somehow, like sanding and applying an anti-rust agent from your auto shop to prevent it from spreading then prime to protect the metal. It eats inside out remember.
