I see where your coming from Aaron, It's a generalization those comment, focused on ricer style cars with cheap gear just 'thrown' on. Your Soarer has clearly been done well with plenty of thought and time, it's an excellent show condition from your profile pic Very nice, certainly more exciting that my Soarer would ever be!
Rob Rojo wrote on Thursday, July 24, 2008 - 08:38 am:Don't worry Josh, I think it looks better than the car in his profile.
Not really, the way I see it, over sized wheels that don't match the car and a cheap exhaust would look anywhere near as nice as my Soarer do - keep them original looking and quality - dont cut corners - your thoughts are warped & basis Rob, quite clear your don't like me! Hehe

Haha, right well, at least they are quality OEM Japanese wheels, with the correct offset and a good size that rides well with out creating too much attention. Love them very much.

| LOL you kiwi's are very harsh, each to their own as everyone has stated. Me personally, I like the look of the single cannon, but if it's a single canon it has to be massive, minimum of a 5" canon tip. It's all about the wank factor FTW!!! But I have to say to you kiwi's, the RX7 rims don't do it for me either, neither does the pensioner special pin stripes, hence that is why I have 20" bling bling.... Everyone is creative in their own way, I like Josh's additions, good work mate |

Yep that's pretty much what it comes down too. I think the criticism is good though - everything is not always nice and dandy in the real world we have to remember, occasionally I like to cut out the niceties and say what I think - everyone entitled to their opinion! - but from this it's certainly very interesting to see what the general reactions are... Definitely keeps things exciting!

| Wake up to yourself. You want to criticise people that have modified there own cars to the there own taste and you obviously think that all soarers should look like yours! I am not going to start having a go at you or your car as it is far from worth the effort. Regarding selling the Lights Etc, at no stage do I ever try to convince or persuade anyone to buy any of the items & at no stage do I try to compare the quality to the original Toyota equipment, just with a lot of Soarers around 15 years old now even Toyota parts start to go bad and personally I am not going to spend the amount of money to replace with the factory items considering the decline in value of Soarers these days. I simply give others the option to buy certain items that you may or may not like at a discounted price. |

| Yeah quite right - I love being critical it's a fact of life really some things look good and others don't, I enjoy putting out my opinion on whatever it maybe occasionally Eh the lights/interior stuff it's it just sad to replace the stock Japanese gear for lesser quality gear... Imagine putting substandard ingredients into a cooked meal - it wouldn't be as good it could be with top quality ingredients! - same with cars and a lot of other things for that matter. Any way I'm going to leave it at that. |

Hmmm, twas quite good to get a little steam off my mind for a change in light of other things around the foum too But it is now quite obvious overly critical comments will upset some people on the forum - I think it's best I keep it out of my post and only talk nice to keep the harmony!

I just noticed on all of the "Say G'day" posts, you have advised majority of new forum members to change their wheels or their exhausts as you do not approve. You need to realise that people have different tastes, it is another "fact of life". It is good to have an opinion just don't assume other will have the same. You must hate my car, everything that you hate is either installed or on its way. |

| Yes Rob, you have observed well in the 'Say G'day' section - I do tend to do that lately Believe it or not, I think your Soarer looks to be quite a nice, clean example as shown in your profile picture! The teal is a marvelous colour which is quite rare & the wheels seem to suit it from the angle I can see.... 217rwkw written in your number plate space is a nice solid result too - which I'm sure has plenty more potential to be even more.

| Its not the look of canons I don't like (though I don't think they suit the Soarer, they aren't totally heanous like say, a mechano wing) - its the noise they make. Some of the cars that go past my house during rush hour are louder than a 30 tonne truck! I think when your car starts to put a truck that outweighs it 20:1 to shame noise wise, its time to seek professional help with the esteem problem. |

| My car had a 5" single canon when I got it. Sounded like a bucket of I replaced them with dual 2.5" and it sounds like a machine. 400000% better. And it goes harder too. |
