Can anyone recommend any good places to get my windows tinted in south-east Queensland, Brisbane, gold coast area? And dose anyone have any good ideas of what type of tint I should get.

Michael... there is a bloke just next to Drift King at Geebung... Tint Mart I think it is called.
Bloke there is very well priced, does great work, and wont spin •••• to you either  |

I have done some searching and found a guy that comes out to the house and will do 5%, 18%, 20%, or 35%  . I think 35% is a bit to light. What do you guys think 5, 18, or 20%?.
Any input would be appreciated.

Anything below 35% is illegal, and while you may get away with it, it's an easy "out" for your insurance company in the event of a claim. |

Michael I recently got 20% black tint on my soarer and it suits it very well especially since I put on black altezza tailights. My soarer is the same colour as yours so I think dark tint is the way to go but thats just my opinion. My brother got 35% on his car and I thought it was just a bit too light so thats why I opted for 20%. |

All the V8s have the chrome trims.
Some JZZ31s have it
none of the TT have it
EXCEPT for a special number (200 maybe) which were released as the "BLACK AND WHITE SERIES" ... they were pretty much just nicely up spec versions of TTs. My friend Adriana was lucky enough to stumble across a black one when she imported hers (also came with a LSD, Shift Kit and Side Skirts!) lucky girl.

That's right James the TT's don't come with the chrome surrounds only the V8's. |

And was an option on JZZ31's. Most of the 94-96 models seem to have it - mine is the same colour as Michaels and has it too. |

haha yeh mine was TINTED into the back windscreen so it would preserve its JDM'ness.....
Or perhaps the guy who did the tinting was just lazy  |

Hi Mike and yes it is the standard colour called Red Mica (3K3), this colour was deleted in January 1994 and changed with Super Red IV. As the car was only imported a couple of months before I bought it I just thought I might as well keep the Jap rego sticker on. |

Does anyone know of a good place in Sydney to get my tint done?? I will be supplying the film myself (effect tint) and i will be driving through on sat the 1st and staying for till Monday. Driving from cairns to melbs woot woot!! |
