I have just removed my passenger side tail light. I am just after some ideas to dry the condensation out. At the moment I have just left it in the sun with the black plastic side facing up to heat it up as much as possible. Anyone have any other ideas??

That's as good as any Clayton. Another option is, IF you've got access to a vacumn cleaner with a "Blow" function, use that,as it will be heaps quicker.

I haven't tried it, but ... I heard if you take out your lights and swish around some metho in them, then dump it out - it will absorb all the water and the rest evaporates. Don't blame me if it melts the plastic or paint! Anyone tried this technique?

Well, Im VERY DEPRESSED!!! Earlier today I poured some Metho (because I dont have a hair dryer) into the Lamp and swirled it around. Worked a treat BUT guess WTF happened?? IT CRACKED THE LENS TO PIECES!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE????????? I don't know if it was the Metho or because I had it in the sun and then poured metho into it which because of the difference in heat. So I'm in the market for a Passenger side Tail Light. Any help??

Clayton, Sorry to hear that .... I read it on a Supra forum and it sounded feasible to me ... so now we know ...... my guess is it was the heat differential that caused the cracking. Apart from the cracked lens, did it effect anything else - mark the plastic, peel the chrome ? etc For a replacement call Jeff, Neil, the Jap wreckers and keep an eye on ebay.

Cheers Blaine. Don't worry, I tried the metho hours before your post. I agree with you about the difference in heat. When I get a new one I'll pull apart the old tail light and place the clear plastic shards into some metho. See if the metho does harm the plastic in any way. The rest of the lamp looks to be ok apart from some milky residue left on the inside. Probably just left over dirty water.
