My Drivers side window does not close fully.
Stops about 5mm short of being fully closed and am not sure why

I was wondering if there was a simple adjustment that could be made to fix this problem as it's a pain when I wash the car(not quite daily anymore since the colonic)

Perhaps you have the incorrect window regulator on that side ?

Cos the 91 and the 95 ones are different.

Did they guy who owned the car before you change the regulator ?

Hi James,
Would you believe I bought it from a car yard in QLD and not one piece of service history? (yeh, I couldn't believe I did either)
But in my defence, factory 5 speed with limited slip diff, really clean interior and engine bay.

Short answer is I don't know.

Hmmm perhaps i am wrong though.

AS i believe its actually the 94+ regulators that dont wind all the way up on the 91-93 cars.....

Cos i bought a new one from Toyota a while ago and had to make sure i got a 91 to avoid the problem you are having.

SOOOOO i dunno if the 91 would make your 94+ one do that anyways. It was just a guess, but wait till some more advice comes along.

Mine is a 1995 model, unless a door has been replaced during it's life with an earlier model?

Are there any markings to tell what regulator I have in the door?

To solve this, loosen off the two strange bolts holding the window,

Raise the window up, put the two bolts back in.

Then rest the window on top of the bolts in between the bracket.

Tighten them up so they hold the window. I did this on mine and its been working great, my window is well lubricated too so that would help stop it slipping out if theres the possibility of that.

Reason for doing this is I used newer 96 Regs in a 91 Door.
