lower and lose the flat faced chrome rims and you're on a winner

whats the lines on the bonnet?

I was actually considering doing the same to mine... but have since reconsidered as I only want to do an outer shell respray... and going matt and then opening doors/bonnet/boot and seeing gloss forest green would just be tacky... so hope you did the whole thing!

Not a fan of the gloss stripes. Some darker wider rims, would make it look tops.

The only thing I like is the front bar :-(

I think that's the one I'm trying to get.

matte black is meh.....satin black on the other hand is the way to go,most people here would have seen a widebody s15 picture from japan amongst all the discussions about this lately, that car is satin, its much the same as matte black but with a slight sheen,it is also much easier to get good quality finish on as matte black when painted even by pros can turn out blotchy and rough,as most other people have said allready, lose the height and the bling bling wheels and get some mods that match the paint your wearing

Sorry mate. It looks like you cant afford to paint it- like it has been undercoated. Reminds me of the Gemini I almost destroyed once. Rolled around with the black undercoat panels for a few months until I could afford to paint it.

On second thoughts maybe it's just me...

Photos don't really do it justice Sam :-) looks nice "in the flesh" and considering the method used to paint it, it turned out really well. Great budget job

it looks like it needs something to "break it up" something simple like white gt or pin stripes down the side or something

i think that the tokage soarer is satin black, not matt. me personally, it does look a little like primer being ready to be sprayed. i don't think that soarers suit matt black, but something like a lowlux or hiace van look good as they suit that culture. soarers are a gloss black or silver (any VIP style colour) as that is the type of style they are. my opinion anyway however each to their own :-), however you have done a good job.
