My front lip has taken a beating over the years and is very warped and cracked, finding a new one isn't easy or cheap so I'm considering removing it and offsetting the weird jacked up look by my lowered suspension that's going in next week.

So if anyone has any pics of 91ish model Soarers with removed/no front lip, please post them up!

I'm assuming that you are talking about the black lip that attaches to the front bar? If so, be aware that the front bar is drilled to accept the bolts of the lip, and should you remove it there will be visible holes on the bar.

As above there will be visible holes in the bar if you take the lip off.

94 Bar - no lip

You will need to take off the undertrays so you can lie down and look up behind the front bar.

On each inner-side of the bar there are about 4 bolts drilled (horizontal)into the side of the bumper.

In the middle of the bar there are another 4 bolts, this time they are drilled (vertical) up into the bar.

Undo all of those and the lip will come off.

Ah I was afraid of bolt holes... Although I don't know what I was expecting.
Perhaps I should look at getting a 94/96 front bar.

give it a sand back, quick splash of paint and it will all be fine tom. Looks a lot better with it on IMO.

A sand and paint will help, but it has a couple of large cracks and it's very warped.

Any idea how to take those middle screws out? They just spin and from what I feel the nut is some random thing?

I made the mistake of taking the lip of my 91 ... looks worse now. Keep it and replace or get a 94 bar
