| Just saw this strange bumper on a 1991 Soarer for sale....
Never seen anything like it! Surely custom made with those odd lower fog lights? The center grill doesnt look quite right either..... Hmmmmm, thoughts? |

| Those make it look a little froggy, how interesting! Yea the grill seems to have no silver surround, but looks like a mid 90's soarer bumper maybe... |

| Just had a look at the rest of the auction, quite a tidy example, and the wheels look quite good on it. Heres a link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Toyota/soarer/auction-184924793.htm |

| It would look better if the lights were smaller, say the size of the highs. But I still do agree with Sean too many lights. |

| Probably put in so the driver can see where he's going at night - it saves the infamous bad lights of the soarer... I guess its practical... |

| I actually find the poor fitment and tacky grill in the middle the worst part of that bumper. In all honesty I dont actually ind those lights, still I wouldnt have them on my soarer, already got 94+ fog lights down there! |

| looks like a regular 91 bumper with the lip bogged up maybe? to make it look like one piece, 97 grille hole, but a bit lower than normal it looks. bottom part of bumper looks to be cut out to fit the new lights. i dont mind it! |

| I'd of got rid of the dodgy turning lights to simplify it all, but I like the look of the roundies where he has them. The letter box grill is OK. I think we are just used to seeing the same types of bars that something different looks, well, different. |

| I wouldn't mind the spotties... in fact I've just bought some to mount in the big vent beside the '97 fogs. They're tiny projectors, off Ebay. This front looks OK except the bodgy grille. I still prefer the "grille-less" look of the earlier models. |

Not a bad Idea as I would quite like some extra punch in my lights, I could quite easily wire them with my fog lights which have a custom fused feed from the battery. Plenty of places to mount them in the grills out of sight |

Wouldn't be legal here, unless they are strictly a "fog light" pattern. Spotties are to be wired to switch off with the high beams. The factory fogs are useless except possibly in fog (which is naturally, rare on desert coasts like here). Interestingly, in Western Australia, only 4 pairs of lights are allowed at the front. That means that on cars with separate high & low beams plus fogs (like the Soarer and also our other car, a Rexton) only one additional pair of lights is allowed. Not an issue so much on Soarer which has limited space for additional lights (at least without looking really stupid) anyway, but I'd like to have fitted additional to the Rexton, although it has, I have to say, really excellent headlights. |
