Can someone tell me where I can buy scrivetts? I need 46 to replace everything that holds the front bumper and inner guards on.(have removed bodykit and going back to standard front) They all are 8mm diameter. I have tried all the usual places - Repco, Supercrap, Peps, Autopro, Bunnings with no luck. Went to a panel beater who told me to go to Toyota (yeah, genuine parts at $100 ea for sure) Surely these little plastic thingys are available somewhere. Please help.

A panelbeater who did work on my car on Norfolk had a large selection of scrivets in a box, not sure where he got them as he was a Kiwi. The panelbeater who sent you to Toyota would seem to be ignorant, if a bloke on a remote island can hold a selection. Panelbeaters are always breaking scrivets and Xmas tree plugs when they pull panels off and they should have spares. I'm seeing my local bloke tomorrow, will ask him.

Toyota has them $2.95 each and they come in Packets of 8..The "tool" for removing them is $8 and is worth it if only for the lower ones (Fiddly buggers under the Bar) Inner guards ?? Not sure of model aplicabilty but mine are held on with "self tappers" into plastic slip-on anchor nuts.. 92 model has 3 beneath each headlight and 8 below the bar (well mine does.) Cheers

Thanks for all the help. I emailed Fastex and they gave me the contact for the NSW distributer - Davro Assembly Products 02 9644 4777. They have a minimum order of $50 so I have ordered 185 of the little buggers, but it is still cheaper than buying blister packs from Repco with only 4 in them. I selected the code of the one I wanted from the Fastex site and it is a stock item with Davro. Anyone want to buy 135 Scrivetts???

My local panelbeater said he gets supplies through Wurths, although he usually gets from reps who come monthly or bimonthly and he wasn't sure if they sold to public. He said he goes through heaps of clips and scrivets, usually orders them as part of a quote, even for things like removing bonnet liners. He also said that many manufacturers have specific clips etc, and those he can't get off Wurth's, he orders from distributor for that make.
