Guys, I'm looking at these mags on the link.

http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=Impul&part_no=1111

In the wide package. 9.5" wide. What do you guys think?

AND

Will they scrub out at all? i have stock spring suspension.

For $2K i'd look for lighweight jap rims in 17 or 18 inches. IF your dead keen on buying this style then look around as they are very common and go for pretty cheap second hand. Otherwise track down some equips if you can find them that is.

To answer your questions the 8.5 +38 front and 9.5 +40 rear will fit fine on stock suspension.

Might look a bit funny as larger rims tend to accentuate the fender/wheel gap.

Matt.

Mine are 18's - I test fitted the 19's but the ride quality was crap.

And yours James, are they the 19" in the wide pack?!

Do you have pictures Paul? any damage? are they the wide pack? i want DEEP dish haha.

Yeah, Josh they are the wide pack. There is some minor damage, being small nick to rear lip and 50mm scrap on front lip. Both hardly noticeable unless you look for them. I really like the 5 spoke rims too. The only reason i don't need these anymore is because i bought a set of 19" GT-C, also with mercury (grey) centres. The tyres have done about 1000Km before i took the car off the road to make a few changes.

Remember, at the end of the day you have to be happy with your car. It doesn't matter what other people think.

YES wide pack.. that dish aint free you know !

The 19s have a different dish on them compared to the 18s... its a smoother edge on it. Also the 18s seem to have more dish (and the straighter edge) on the front wheels as opposed to the 19s

They suit the soarer well i reckon PLUS They were they came in WHITE so i was stoked. YOu can also get these in BLACK which looks fkn sexy !

Those AXIS rims are pretty sweet also, my mate has those on his R32 GTR (19s) There is a pic floating around on this site with a GOLD soarer with those AXIS rims on it.

Mine are a 18" fat pack in shadow - for the price I dont think you can go wrong, the thing with rims is that with so many options and sooooo many opinions you can easily get confused and drive away with something you didnt want. I spotted these years ago on a skyline and loved them - next day bought a set, but you must get springs to suit otherwise they just look out of place.
Also make sure your camber is spot on, replacing 265's is a horribly expensive job.

I do like them Axis mags. it'd be a toss up between them and the impul mags. the impul are very clean but yeah a little common, the axis are different but very good looking. i'd get them but i just don't know if the dark wheels would suit my car.

I think they would look great to be honest. Dark mags with a silver mirror look stunning on a dark car if you ask me. But again, personal preference

PS, not having a personal go at anyone with the starcorps, I remember seeing heaps of soarers looking pimp with them when they first came out. The staggered set really suits our cars.

Just lately, every wog and his dog seems to have them on his her commodore/skyline/silvia etc. Kind of like having Volk GTC's these days.

Hey guys,

With the 19" mags and king springs, will the ride quality suffer alot? or just a bit? i don't want it to feel rough as just going down the street
