The best ones for the look are the diamond visions for sure, they give out a nice blue light. Then after them comes the Crystal Vision, which give of a more of a white light. Not sure if Philips made Diamond Visions in HB3's or HB4's. Only Crystal Vision is Available in HB3/4 and they will need some modification on the inside of the plug to fit the Soarer light bulb plug. Blue Vision is just a waste of money as they are very close to the colour of Amber standard bulbs, not even Blue(not sure why they call it Blue vision)

Yep
Crystalvision (4300k) and Diamondvision (5000k) are not approved for road use (do not comply with ADR: ECE R37).
And after having them myself once before, I agree why... they do not light up the road well.
All they are good for is looking pretty and thats the end of it. Far better quality lights to be had for less money... Visionplus work quite well I have found.

That can't be right I have on order 2 Phillips Xtreme bulbs that fit my car. I am in Mackay so if I can get them any one can. I went to Ashdown Ingrams if that helps.

Just a word of caution here - if you want a 'fashionable' light then go for the blue tinted variety by all means .... but be prepared for crappy night vision. Anything around 4300K or less gives far better penetration but doesn't look as trendy. Thats why foglights are often yellow as they can really cut through the murk whereas a blue light just gets diffused.

I have a combination of Philips crystal vision for low beam and Narva +80 high beams.
The crystal visions create almost a "blob" light, not a pencil-beam so they are great to dazzle the car infront of you! Mine are permanently aimed down low now!
Both have the same wattage.
The philips globes are great around town, they light up signs brilliantly and reflect off road makings like a xenon globe. Over summer, I go down the Mornington peninsular a fair bit and do a bit of night driving as a result. In this situation, the Philips are crap. The light falls off quite dramatically.
Alone, the Narva +80 has a bluish tinge, but against the philips low-beams, they are distinctly yellow. Use these on an un-lit country road, WHOA!!!!!!! The penetration of the light is phenominal, equal to a good quality (read, pricey) xenon globe, and they drowned out a skyline with cheap chinese HID's!! Granted, they were 12,000K xenons, they were a foul purple colour!
Out of all the globes I've seen and done country driving with, the top 3 are:
1) IPF Halogen replacement globes. These are engineered especially for off-road vehicles and country driving, but also come in nearly all the standard halogen sizes. Downside? Price, No blue light.
2) Narva +80. AKA, Ozram "NightStalker" Excellent penetration for a halogen globe, with a slight blue tinge when used in isolation. Downside? Again, price and generate a bit of heat.
3) Philips Blue Vision. Not much more expensive then Narva +50, but with a much Bluer light. Much better for penetration than Crystal vision, sh*ts all over Diamond vision. Not as good as the others around the city, but are less likely to "dazzle" other drivers.
