Hey guys just seeing how much interest there would be for copy auto coture kits? I know there is only one person with a genuine item in Australia and no one sells them locally or sells copies locally so the only option is to get them sent from the US. The probelm in that is freight is a and the kits arent exactly cheap. Anyway if people want to just express their interest in whether they would be interested in acquiring copies ill have a chat too a few places i know make good stuff and see if they are keen to get a genuine item and start making copies.
Seems Auto Coture kits are more popular that Vertex kits in the states and they car nice but come down to personal taste. I like both Vertex and Auto Coture but Vertex is more sporty mixed with class were as the auto coture kit is pure class. Any google it if you dont know what an Auto Coture kit looks like.

just had a look at their website, and the bodykit is designed for the Series 2 Soarers. according to the website...
Front bumper spoiler - Factory fog lamps & grille of MY98+ required for -MY97
Side skirts - Factory door moldings of MY98+ required for -MY97
Rear bumper spoiler
i have been looking into these bodykits for ages now and would be so interested, by the looks of things, to get a copy made, would probably not cost that much, for people with pre series 2 kits it would require you to get the series 2 front bumper, fog lights and sideskirts/door mouldings. but so worth it. as seen in pictures below
I will be watching this thread very closely and would be very interested depending on final price

on the current exchange rate, thats approximately $960. do they define the actual "rear bar" as the rear bumper spoiler, or is the rear bumper spoiler the bootlid spoiler? if its the rear bar, that is a great price

Copies i can imagine will still be quite pricey just because they need to buy a few genuine items and go from their. Also because there is no established market for them i can see companies been scared that not too many people will pick them up and it wont be must a success as in the US. So i can see companies been very cautious about this and charge more incase they dont sell that well. It will be like anything, start off expensive and gradually decline in price.
Anyway i reckon around $1000-$1200 for a COPY is what it will come to but thats just my own guess.

hah the thing about being the first company to make copies of the genuine article is some place is just going to buy your copy and make copies of that.
progressively it just ends up being less and less profitable for whoever is higher up the chain (namely the original manufacturer!)
couple with time + effort in sourcing and manufacturing from the genuine article i would be genuinely surprised if this ever gets off the ground unless the initial run is large enough
then again autocouture will soon lose its exclusiveness and just be everywhere like vertex :p

But its like anything Matt, the first one with the idea/first to makes copies makes the most money at the begining. Then the more companys that follow suit minize the profit for whoevers involved.

Well lets start i list then to give me some ammunition when i got have a chat with a few place. Just not that cost maybe around the $800-$1000 price range so if that suits you then express your interest.

guys, when it says bumper spoiler, its only the lip on the bar. a genuine auto coture kit is $3000 before any shipping, and its only front lip, rear lip and skirts. thats from auto coture japan.
if you can get a full front bar, rear bar and skirts for $1000 that is better quality than the type of you buy from OzKits, congrats

so masato, there are 2 kits, 1 is just a lip kit and the other is a full kit, is that correct? for 1200 i would be happy to get the genuine lip kit, atleast you know it will definately fit

There is only one kit which is the full front and rear bar replacement. They also make kits for Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lamborghini etc. so I guess that the fitment would be perfect and warrant the huge costs of the originals.
