I see in the specs that our fog lights are 12V 55W.
I somehow disagree as they are quite dull and am planning on replacing them with LEDs.
Question, what type of bulb are they.
91-94 bumper shape

The 91-94 models are not fog lights, they are just turning lights and a only around 15w, I think they are the same bulb as the blinkers in the headlights.
The 1995> models are fog lights and are around 55w. |

I have seen a Honda Accord Euro with HID fogs but im not that ambitious. I just think the current 15w is useless. |

My 94 fog lights come on manually using the switch on the headlights column. They're not turning lights.
Before i take it apart, i just want to know what replacement bulb i need and see if its available in LED. |

I thought you were talking about the car in the picture above which has turning lights not fogs.
I am pretty sure they are H1 55w globes for the fog lights. |

Rob, yes those in the picture.
The 91 uses them as turning lights whilst mine are used as fogs. Toyota changed their function in 94. |

The 94 fog lights have a stripe through the middle (as pictured below) , the ones in the pic above are the original 1991 style lights.
If that is your car above that may explain why the lights are so dim as its running the 91 turning lights as fog lights.

oh and the 91 bulbs are 35w FYI.
When i did my HID install i bought some BIG led globes and fitted them to my turning lights so they were nice and white also, looked shmicko! |

You won't find any 35W 1156 bulbs though so LEDs would be a good alternative, although totally useless as fogs. |

'94's are definitely H1's - pricey little buggers too, for a good one. No idea on the '91's as I never had to change one. |

Err the fog lights are H3's.
Yes you can run HIDs in them if you want as well. |

Sorry, quite right H3's, the ones with the little cable on them for the positive- I use Philips H3 12336 BV+ 12V 55W, which cost something like $30 NZD each. |
