I bought a chrome lexus SC400 badge kit a while back and still haven't got around to filling in the toyota holes and fitting the next ones, I like the look of de-badging how ever, hmm.
How much does it cost to get these holes filled and painted professionally to allow room for the Lexus badges?

Haha true Matt, sorry mate, I misread your post. I read it as vertex. In that case I don't think that anyone likes the Veilside as I've never seen one installed on a car myself and I wasn't trying to insult your ride mate. My mates got a s3 and I love revving the sh*t out of that 12A. Don't really know what battle you think you're in but I hope you enjoy being the most aggressive person on this site.

Constructive criticism should always be welcomed but the way in which some people so passionately rip into other forum members for essentially having a different piece of plastic hanging off their boot does not seem constructive to me.
Indeed, like I said you can't really change peoples minds so why bother trying. Fine to state an opinion though.
Who was it (former or current member here?) who had the giant lexus badge standing upright from about 2/3rds of the way down the bonnet? Now that was truly odd! He used to cop a lot of for that!

"Analogue Dash, coil springs, external aerial and left hand drive for starters."
Well thats me sold. See.. I was under the impression they were exactly the same car, no idea about the Analogue dash .. I already have coil springs.. but no aerial.
It's settled for me now. I will NOT be badging the wee beasty as a LEXUS.
Also .. i'm feeling like a bit of a donkey for startign a thread thats causing way too much heated debate for somethign so trivial... can I mod shut it down please?

Wowsers!
I like the L badge on my car. Nothing else. Just L on the front and back combined with quiet exhaust and almost stock appearence. Keeps the pigs off my back, the toyota badge attracts them ."ooooh jap import it is, pull him over we must".
Plus its neater. Plus you can tell when a model was being built for the foreign market. If you think a 30 series was built as a toyota for JDM consumption, with the SC300/400 as an afterthought, no way. Its all part of the Lexus brand building. Just look at the size of the volume knob, temp knob, blatant ugly lettering, huge obese compatible seats and you just know it was being built for the fattys out west. Just like the celsior. Big knobs, for big western knobs

I thought the US models came with no EMV?
Nobody said they did come with it, just like the JZZ31 and UZZ30 in Japan.
Further to Aaron's comment about the design market, he is not talking through his hat. The car was designed in the USA at the then new Lexus design centre in California, and was subsequently rebadged a Toyota in Japan with naming and additional features suited to that market.
Henceforth I shall have to remind people this is an American car, changed to RHD for Japan.

I know this is off topic, um off the off topic debate but does anyone else have a tt with emv? My friend had a 94 model tt with emv but I haven't seen another one since.

I know of no factory TT with EMV. It is not mentioned in model specifications. EMV was exclusively in some UZZ31 and all UZZ32 models, not the JZZ30 (TT), JZZ31 or UZZ30.
