So I park at "The Glen" broad daylight, run in to get some switches from Dick smith, come out and someone has keys the entire length of car. I'm devistated. I'm insured with shannon's and currently researching if they will cover this.. knowing my luck they won't It isn't a deep cut.. but it's really obvious. .. feeling very pulp fiction right now.

that sucks we need to bring in a rule if you key someones car you get your hands chopped off lol how many panels did they do? from what ive seen you probably will be covered but they may just try repair the affected parts and blend it in or try to only do the panels keyed.. to get the whole car done it has to be on every panel from what ive been told. but definitely get in touch with them and then organise to take it to a repairer you may get it done hopefully!!

Keep us informed on how Shannons treat you. I have all my cars insured with them but have never had to make a claim.

Ken ... nah my ex's are worse then that. How many panels? Hmm Bonnet, both guards, both doors, also the black paint, boot, lower boot. Think that's every panel? Also noticed a punch dent (soft 10c sized dint) Two people have done it, they've both started at the boot and just walked the length in one go stopping at my front badge. Shannon's aren't open right now so I'll be on the phone tomorrow with them. As I say I've got full comp with them so I'm assuming this covered vandelism (please Soarer gods) .. with a written off car they usually review it, not sure how they will do this though. My excess is $500, I am wondering if they will make me pay out the rest of my contract with them?... Nothing in my paperwork about that. I'm just feeling kinda numb right now - thanks for the support.

I feel for you Jol, lowest of the low. You didn't upset anyone on the way, say, steal some ones parking spot etc. Hope they get the bastards.

Dave - Some of the marks could be buffed out but about %70 of each panel they have the gone deep and put their weight behind it. I'm just getting mentally prepped to deal with the insurance agency tomorrow. My last run in with AAMI ended in a near law suit.. god i just want this to go easy

Check with security at The Glen, hopefully there may be some CCD cameras covering the area. Check other building nearby if they are in clear view. My bro had his 5 series keyed, every single panel. It was Estoril Blue as well, a very expensive 'option' for beemers....

assholes, really sorry to hear about that happen to your car Jol. Hopefully Shannons will come to the party and repair everything for you mate. God knows why these scumbags get off doing these things to other peoples property. Also like the other guys above have said, try and see if there is any security footage of the vandalism taking place on your soarer, may be very useful in a police report or showing your insurance company if there is. Good luck with it all Jol!

I don't know if shannons will try and screw me.. I know a lot of people who are with them, both with Soarers and Early Holdens. I hope that draws some water... I did a run through, the damage was caused in two seconds by 2 guys. Both started at back above number plate - keying (the lines cross each other) Went up over corner of boot Down over rear 1/4 Up to behind the door panel Here one of them stopped and punched the RHS panel between back window and door window The other also stop and scratched in to the BLACK of the b-pillar The other started again just above door hand Kept going over the door to the bonnet One stopped The other kept going around to my Lexus badge. Would have happened so quickly and i recon these people have done it before.

Sorry to hear about that Jol. Those low act thugs were probably jealous of you because you had something that they didn't have. Hope goes well with your insurance enquiry. By the way, which suburb is the "The Glen" located if I may ask?

Son of A.... Hey Jol, where are you taking it? I can definately NOT recommend one place on Canterbury Rd, and I CAN HIGHLY recommend another place in Rooks Rd. Let me know if you want the info. No, I don't work for them. They have both done work for me in the past. Hope it comes back from the shop in top condition.
