Hi all,
Has anyone seen this before? Water is running around the dust cover behind the speaker pod and then dripping out the bottom. As a result the floor is wet, the door carpet is water stained, and when it starts to heat up things go all damp and smelling. I hate to think what this condensation could be doing to the many electronic gadgets.
I have circled in red where the water is getting in. (sorry, its faint, and I only have paint available atm).
It seems there is a split/join in the dust cover at the bottom. There is a hard plastic edging. You can see there is extra black sticky goop there to compensate for it.
Doesn't seem like much, but it is enough to make my carpet very wet and smelly. Especially when it rains all weekend, like the one just gone.
Even with the short but heavy rain fall last night it soon filled the gap between the door, and the top of the door cill, and started to leak into the car.
Any suggestions on how to fix this for good? I don't have time to investigate this further right now, so I thought to ask around in case someone has seen it before and come up with a good solution.
Thanks, Mike

Thanks Peter, but I don't think its that.
I cleared the holes out. Also you can see the drip coming down, and below that is another hole in the panel. If the drain hole was blocked water would come out there.
If I press on the join, more water comes out, like a sponge.

Because of the slope on the inside of the door, water getting past the window seal falls and runs down the inside of the door panel - hence the need for the lining to seal.
Once it gets past the lining, the only way out is through the drain holes, so it makes good sense to check both.
In your case the lining certainly looks to be a problem.
