Spent a bit of today getting it drivable, had to cut the left muffler and some pipe off as it was bent towards the ground and was scraping.
It appears to be the rear bar and that little panel beneath it thats but also the boot is out of alignment, Im thinking the qtr panel has been bent a bit?
I had to pay $990 for the tow home as I was in the middle of no where.
Any approx prices you think panel work will cost me?

It dont look to bad..
thanks neil, thats the kind of reply i was after
the left hand muffler is surprisingly fine, it had been bent underneath the FRONT of the rear wheel, but it looks fine. the piping however was split and kinked.
will be taking it to the exhaust shop tomorrow to get it re attached, then a wheel alignment, then to the panel shop for a quote.

rear bar is easy to replace! if you can find a gold one. otherwise i would guess about $500 to repaint / colour match a green one! I got two stock rear muffles with a bit of pipe hanging off the end, in storage, yours for $40 bucks. I also got a stock rim with a tyre if you want it for $50. I aint posting anything though! Email me mate. $990 for a tow! Jeeepers

Where the were you to cost $990 for a tow??? At those prices I'd expect mink covered ropes & chains to hold the car down and the towie to be wearing top hat and tails and calf-skin gloves; and have a bevvy of scantily-clad nubile wenches to keep you entertained while he loads the car.

$990 was from just past yarra junction back to delahey
getting a cat back exhaust put on tomorrow for $400, 3" mandrel bent mild steel with muffler... the pipes are split underneath and the shop only had pipes from a V8 so I figured this would be easier.
took it back to the panel shop where I got it repaired last time and he said around $1500 if I source my own rear bar.

$990 for a tow? Sounds like a good advertisement for motoring organisation membership! Like NRMA or RACQ, whatever the Vic one is. I can't imagine venturing onto the roads without club membership. They give first 10km of tow free. I had one once, it was a lot further than 10km in fact halfway Sydney to Newcastle and I lived the other side of Newcastle towards Port Stephens and I had to pay $70 for the distance after the 10kms. It's $58 for my annual RACQ membership (have to keep it up for the 25+ years benefits) and it's money well spent.
In fact I had another tow from Nyngan to Dubbo once, when cat blew in Liberty, early '99 in fact and as I had bought the "extras" cover the tow was free and I got a night in motel free too.

how on earth did that happen Ryan?
Yeah, spill it.
PS - I'm gutted, your car is sexy as... Was it a night before this? or was this what made it
PPS - I got some stock mufflers here if you want for nothing ($40 Avin? ) if it'll help you, no point rushing to get something you don't really want, or something you will replace down the line, save your $$$ and get what you want first time.
As well, I've got a set of stock TT wheels with 95% cond tyres going cheap.

Hey morgs, i said $40 because they are in storage at my great aunties house, and it would be an effort on my part to go pick them up (she will talk my ear off, and ask when i am getting rid of all the other stuff in her garage) They would be free if at my house!

well as a bit of a guide, i had a smash repaired that was half in my rear quater panel and half in the rear bumper (about 30cmx30cm). So they panel beated the quater panel and sent the bumper off to get repaired. Colour matched both parts pearl white. All up cost me $1300.
