If you are using your car as a daily, don't run very low offset, don't run huge rims, and don't run stretched tyres. It will handle badly, grip poorly, wear the tyres quickly, and unevenly, rub the guards, and give a very harsh ride.

Wow.. then why own the car if thats what he wants to do.. And I would guess you know this from actually having wheels like that and run them for long enough to know.

Yup, been there done that - not with stretched tyres (that came after my time), but with excessive lowering, oversized wheels, incorrect offsets and rolled guards.
I thought it looked cool, but in the end it pissed me off so much with all the problems it created with scrubbing, unpredictable cornering, rooted inside tread within 10,000km etc, I went back to something a bit more conservative. The car was much nicer to live with after that, and really held the road.
Of course if its a show car, or you have some specific track setup you are after its a different matter, but for a daily driver its best not to go too OTT with your wheel sizing, and stick within the tyre manufacturers recommended rim widths.
