i have already booked in a date for the tint professor to remove my current 20% tint and re-tint my windows. I am paying $50 for them to remove current tint and $265 all round minus windshield. so $315 all up. is this a decent price?
also tossing up between 35% and 20%. I currently have 20% but it does get a bit hard at night, although it does look quite nice. 35% does look nice also, gives it a nice clean look..

Sounds like a good price to me. I've got most my cars tinted in the past if they didn't already have tint, but i knew the tinter and got good deals. Price was very similar though considering. Not too sure but just check with your tinter, when they remove can they save the defrost tracks and more importantly the radio antenna tracks. I've heard if you remove tint normally it also removes these tracks. You might not get good reception after the job!

I removed my tint with no dramas, with a heat gun, scraper and lots of metho. For some reason other solvents diddn't work. Maybe DIY if you don't trust their installers to do it! There's always silver impregnated glue to repair tracks if you brake them, fairly cheap too.

Well the tint professor said that they use a heat gun to remove the tint and I did ask them about the defrost tracks and they said that isn't an issue. They have removed tint from over 120,000 cars and not one issue. Hope I'm not the first

just bought a new car and the dealer has offered to put 20% tint on and cliams its legal... have the laws changed?
Not that I know of, but I don't check them all the time either. Get it in writing along with a guarantee to replace it and pay your expenses if you get busted for it.
