Great job George. Would you be interested in doing another set for cash?
Sorry mate, I would love to make a few $$$ but this baby took me 8 weekends to finish. It just takes too much time. and the blinker + original factor mirrors is not cheap too. Just those items cost me over $200.00

Nah, wiring would be pretty easy, just locate the sender source under the dash and run a couple of wires out through the door wiring. Wouldn't take more than a couple of hours for me, and I am hopeless with electrics.

Great job there George, looks factory. Although, I'm not a fan of these...heard them described as 'girlie car ear-rings' on Top Gear and I tend to agree with that description.

I got a chance to take a few good photos of the case. My is not a LED cover on, I cut the OEM case and inserted the LED so it looks 100% factory and kept the original OEM shape.

aha! here i am thinking you found a nicely curved led assembly and did all that. that clarifies things up a bit. would have been good to know it was just a cover that slips over. kinda disappointed in this, but its motivation to do the exact same thing you have done

Mohamad they are not off a Merc, they are a Merc styled mirror cover made for the Lexus Sc300/400/Soarer... I seen them on ebay ages ago but can seem to find them anymore....anyone got a link?

I really like the finish on these George. I certainly don't have anywhere near the practical ability to pull that off.
Do you think it's possible to make a mirror that looks more like the new lexus IS ones?
In some ways I think it's more in keeping with the whole organic/shaped by hand soarer styling. The soarer deserves more than mercedes style mirror indicators. Mercedes haven't been worth copying since the early 90's!

Hi all, I been away overseas for a long time hence haven't been on the forum for a few month. I don't think the new IS LED is do-able as our mirror case cover is more round. I can't remember what LED is used but my LED was from a Merc (I think 2005 E or C class).
I hate to say but My Love and Joy for the last 10 years will be up for sale after the 13/Nov when I return to Melbourne. it's been in my Garage collecting dust for the last 2 years. It's in tip top condition with factory black leather and wood grain everything (including a 100% factor looking wood grain steering) and custom super advan wheels and the sexy clear front lights and LED mirror. Everything looks 100% factory without any modes. But as it's been so long, I have no idea how much would a collectors baby like this would go for these days. If you are interested, let me know.
