Hey guys and girls, I've been looking at pulling apart my tail lights, and found the post, however it involves putting the tail light in the oven for 5 mins. I'm not sure if anyone has actually attempted to put the tail light in the oven, as most ovens (if any) will fit the tail light. So I was wondering if there was another way, I'm trying heatgun, but what a PITA, doesn't want to come off. So if anyone knows a way or know how I can get access to a big enough oven, let me know. Cheers

Brian there are 4 screws at the back of the light near the top (not the ones that attaches to the car) and little clips for the out side lens to clip on the the tail light housing found on the base which most likely to be covered in silicon.
If you use a heat gun you have to work with a knife to slowly cut away the silicon which takes time if you dont want to crack the lens
Richard's explanation is how I have pulled my 95' model tail lights apart twice.
I'd prefer the heat gun over using the oven any day. Just make sure to wear some gloves & heat up one section at a time, it does take some patience, but it shouldn't take you too long to do.
In the end depending on what you are doing it's well worth it, especially if you are 'clearing' 95' tail lights.
