Mine had a few small holes in the bar, with some small cable ties holding the mesh in.

Ive used Sikaflex before, takes a while to dry, so need to hold it there for at least 24hr. with clamps or tape. Its messy stuff though. don't get it anywhere you DONT want it.

Use wire fiberglassed to the bar, then intertwine the wire through the overflow of mesh, you wont see it and itll hold like anything. Plus its easy as pie to take off.

Ohh, use wire thick enough to twist, but still strong, just thinner then a coat hanger.

as daniel said most of my bars have a nice dab of fibreglass body filler repair with mild steel fencing wire or the like then as you slide the mesh over it bend it down and holds fine.
just dont use spring steel or stainless as may crack the bar trying to bend it cause would need more pressure to bend it lol
