I am going to leave this space open for when I purchase another late model grille next week, & fit it to my '93 front bar. It can be done, & here is a photo taken from Club Lexus of the outcome.
Haha true, it is a delicate job with no turning back. My front bar has a deep scratch pretty much where the grille sits in the photo's anyway, so I am just going to wing it & start cutting away & make sure it fits !!

if you cut the hole smaller and did some heat gun work you might be able to make a nice "rolled" edge but with just a cut out its going to look rough up close!
That is true Allan, I bought the grille last year planning to do exactly this, then changed my mind for the same reason. Until I found these photo's.. which is motivating me to buy another & try it now ! If it turns out sh*thouse, it'll be an excuse to buy a late model front bar.

This looks great!
I've got a 97 grill from the group buy, however I didnt think of installing it on my 94. I think a member installed it on their bar too low and it looked really really pox.
I was thinking of tracing the outside lip area on some cardboard, cutting a template about 5mm smaller than the trace and then using that as a trace to cut out the bar.
