yeah. so what NOW!?!?!?!

basically - as i'm going through the notions of the glass lens group buy idea.. i'm starting to think maybe there is a need for a whole new headlight design..

nothing is guaraneteed at this point.. i just want your suggestions :-)

basically - if we're going the "custom" route.. glass lens will be out of the equation.. to keep costs down we'll be getting clear polycarbonate lenses made instead of glass (that's IF this goes ahead)

personally i'm thinking just basically ripping the design from the lexus GS.. obviously keep the shape the same.. but just get this style of light made..

basically just a NICE projector lens with reflector diffused indicators.. a neat chrome housing (or black) with a crystallite lens cover..

anybody have any suggestions?? this will basically be just buy them, plug them n use them..

any suggestions on design?
please no suggestions of those "led" rows that the audis have.. the new HSV's have them which means they'll be out of fashion in about 2 months time :p

if i could elaborate on my "please no suggstions of led rows"..

i personally think LED rows / halo / angel eye / crazy light setups are kind of finished.. BUT i DO like the idea of LED fibre optic tubes..

i think a new soarer headlight combo designed on the lexus GS platform would be nice especially if we utilised the LED fibre optic tubes like on the korean Kia Cadenza..

^^^see the lit up "eyebrow" that they have? would you like that??

IMO looks a hell of a lot nicer than this gordy crap..

...input?

Hey, if its on a Kia, it must be cool!

I agree though, arrays of LED's look terrible. How about just sticking with functional lights rather than pointless bling?

agreed. these cars were designed with lexus in mind. so best to keep things simple. :-)

i'd like to design something LIKE the ebay ccfl's except without the whole.. looking terrible thing. haha no seriously I want to remake the ccfl ebay lights but with a much nicer design and better quality parts ie good projectors that are adjustable etc

daytime driving lights are not pointless bling! but yes optic tubes are a better option than LEDs

Daytime running lamps - whats wrong with just switching your headlights on like motorcycles have been doing for many decades?
