Are you talking from past experience or is this just stuff from other people you've read online?

Dude, I am 35 years old and have been fixing and modifying cars since I was 10 (not that I'm saying I'm very good at it! But I'm not a just a keyboard expert/warrior if thats what you mean) Of course its from experience - I've learned that the more crazy you do to your cars key components, the harder it gets to live with it as a daily drive. If you don't have any problems then thats great - maybe you have done a much better job of it than I ever did - but I've been there and done that, and these days I prefer a comfortable ride that I can predict when going around a steep mountain pass that's been badly corrugated by trucks.

I'm guessing the roads between Melbourne and Sydney are somewhat better than the goat tracks that pass for main highways in NZ :-)

Honestly, over here you never know when a 15cm deep pothole is going to loom out at you with no notice and destroy your large, expensive rim. That kind of thing used to get on my nerves too - Not only have I destroyed alloy wheels on NZ's roads, but I've actually had them tear struts to pieces! I've had expensive tyres wear out in under 5000km from me increasing camber so I could tuck them under rolled guards - also a major when you are only 22 years old and have just started your carrier on a pretty salary.

are they really up in the $4300 range? wow lol. Still want them tho, they look heaps good!! what size would you think they are on that black one?

$4300 is cheap for those STR's.

Wheel size on the black ones are approx 19x9~ish fronts, rears are 20x10 or 11" wide

Yeah Maya's are copies of the Riverside Trafficstars.

From what I have read they are just labelled Maya in North America much the same way as hungry jacks and burger king. Different name, same product. The North American supplier has now gone bust so there is no Maya anymore.

Correct. Didn't know about the US supplier bit though.
