I think a respray is the only way. My bumper is horrible. I tried putting some clear over it, but it is still noticable (ie different shade)

Does anyone know a rough cost for a bonnet to be resprayed?

look around for a used bonnet in the same colour, could be had for $200 or so. a respray you would be looking at 400 odd minimum

A used bonnet is such a lame idea,

Just do it properly, a reasonable panel shop will be around 200-350

If you remove, prep, and refit yourself you might get an OK job done for $300. More like twice that for a good job drive in drive out.

I'm with Warren Brett - what makes finding a perfectly good matching bonnet and just swapping it over lame? I've done it on several cars before - takes 30 minutes, no waiting for the paint shop to get their together, and usually works out way cheaper.

Yeah it's not a bad idea but if the paint peeling is pissing you off maybe a colour mismatch might as well. You won't find a bonnet with the exact same amount of paint fade etc.
