Hi guys, yesterday i decided to take apart my headlight as it had water and condesnsation inside.
I looked at the tutorial and it seemed pretty straight forward. after an hour or heating and trying to open with a screw driver i managed to pull apart the headlight.
Now im stuck as there is so much goo still on the headlight its taking me for ever to scrape off and its a very tedious job.
Is there another way i can get the goo off quicker? Does any one know if there is a solution that can be put on the goo and it will 'burn/wash' off. Ie: turps or something like that. I havent tried anything yet. im up for suggestions.
Hopefully you guys can help out!
Thanks

You could try eucalyptus oil..? Seems to work with most glues and even chewing gum! lol :-)

Not really an answer, but I just reheat it and reuse it when putting the lights back together rather than removing it...

Turps will help, but it's still not an instant solution.

I have a bottle of "Big Kevs Goo Remover" (rest his excited soul) that works a treat for this kinda stuff. It's a bit old now but still works a treat. Bunnings have an equivalent for just a few bucks.
