The plastic clip on the inside of drivers side door has broken, bought new one through Toyota and followed the tutorials on here on removing trim & replacing clip.....however I can't get it near where it needs to re-attach on the inside of handle....any suggestions on a repairer to take it to be done who knows what they are looking at and how to do it? Could go as far as Newcastle, Wollongong, Canberra as I travel sometimes for work duties.

If you put your window down when the rod was detached, there's a fair chance you would have bent it like I did. I had to remove the passenger side trim to realise that the rod wasn't supposed to look the way it did. It's really easy to bend back.

I had the same problem when I first bought my soarer except the part where the rod was connected to the door much was broken. I found it easier and cheaper to get rid of the weak original rod and plastic.
I got a stainless welding rod and made it to suit hasnt let me down since.

Yes, had the same problem with my UZZ30 and got the local body shop to make up a steel rod to suit - only cost me something like $50 fitted drive in drive out as I recall - that was ten years ago mind.
