Start a new thread Josh. This one is full of rubbish.
There is no specific griffin, gryphon, griffon (lets start another pointless argument) for the back of the car. It either has the Toyota 'T' and Soarer name, or it has the Lexus 'L' and SC300/400. (some may have had the word Lexus on the back-can't confirm)
That is not to say you couldn't put one on there, but you would have to do something similar to my original advice (which is why I think you posted) which is put it on with good quality double sided tape. I would use a chrome or blingy one for the back to match the chrome lettering.
Ohh, and just wait until the 'clean your headlights' police start on you...

The pins on the factory badges are only for locating the badge, the tape holds them on.
I cant remember what model Lexus it's off but there is one 'L' badge that goes on and seals over the holes if you get it just right. A search through some old posts may find it.

End of the day it doesnt matter what opinion is being expressed and by whom, because you can just choose to ignore it. THATS WHY THEY ARE CALLED OPINIONS :/ if people get upset or pissed off over something someone 5000kms away wrote on the forum, they really shouldnt be allowed on a forum. or the internet.

3M make some awesome double sided tape. It won't come off unless you really want it to. Just make sure you shell out for the good stuff, and clean the paint thoroughly before applying.
And man, there are some sensitive people on here! Grow some thicker skin people! Fortunately Josh doesn't seem to be one of them.

The three pins holding on my badge and the pins on my 97 front bar have metal retainers on the underside that the pins push into. I have about a 30% success rate of removing the metal clips without snapping the pin off the back of the badge.
