He was only selling for 8k without rims (which I sold for 2k) and sound system worth 3k. Original price was 12k for it. He just didn't change the add completely. It was my mates car and I gave him my VZ Calais which I was selling for 14k and I was given 2k cash.
I currently have the stocks on at the moment and I'm in the process of buying some wider 17s.
Thanks alot Sebastian, location to get it done properly was all I needed to know.

Well not really hsv take a Holden and modify it , extra power differant bumpers and some interiors bits etc , A Soarer is a sc400/300, They are the exact same car just one stayed in Japan the other went to USA , so I want to drive a Lexus sc400 do I have to import it from the USA ? It's a matter of personal taste and flaming someone down for that is lame.....

And they also are not the exact same car - they are VERY similar - but one is left hand drive, the other right - so a load of different parts up front - one has a totally different set of options than the other (way more options on the Soarer than the SC) and of course the 1JZ-GTE was never available in the US.
Personally I'm proud to drive a Toyota (even a 16 year old putty putty one) and don't get why you would stick different badges on it unless you wanted to get some more money when you are selling it - but its just my opinion - just the same way I think 20" chromies are ugly - if you like em, just ignore me and go on enjoying them. The world would be dull if we were all the same and didn't voice our opinions.

so if you have been a member of SC for some time then and only then are you allowed to put forth your opinion ?
Sabastian what makes your opinion more valid then the next members, join date post count how much rwkw you have ?
At the end of the day you're badging the car as something its not, id rather have a real Toyota soarer than a fake Lexus sc400
Vincent if a soarer and an sc400 are the exact same car then whats the point of changing the badge, to make people think you have a Lexus? You'd be lying if you told people you owned a Lexus if it was a badge swap
And yes the ONLY way to get an SC300/400 is to actually buy one you can change the badge and think you own one but the compliance plate and rego papers will ALWAYS say its a Toyota

He didn't ask for your opinion michael, that's the point and if you've been on sc long enough you'd know that this point less.conversation has been done to death and only serves to flame people. Just stick to answering the ops question and.we will all get along fine.

WOW, this topic certainly gets peeps all worked up. I think everyone has a different opinion and I can't see an issue voicing it. I feel a bit bad for Josh (op) as this was only his second post!
Car modifications are defintely a personal thing, and when you have so many blokes on here who are all enthusiastic about Soarer's there will always be disagreements on this sort of trivial stuff.
I reckon your car looks pretty schmick Josh and I wish you the best of luck with it. If you need any advice in the future don't let this thread put you off, there are plenty of enthusiastic guys n gals on here who can help you out.

Sabastian
The OP asked for the opinion of everyone who views this thread from time the thread was started, don't you understand to concept of a discussion board?
Its open to peoples opinion regardless if it be positive or otherwise
No the OP didn't directly ask me for my opinion or yours for that matter, so again I ask why do you have more right to an opinion than anyone else here ?
Josh your car looks fantastic wheels and all, I think a lexus badge would cheapen it, a new chrome griffon would look nice though

Hello I just bought my Soarer two weeks ago, and I'm interested in getting the Lexus badge put on. Just wondering how much and where I can get this done? I know where to buy a badge but not sure where to get it done and cost.
Where did he ask for your opinion Michael? How has voicing your opinion that soarers shouldn't have Lexus badges helped anyone? I didn't give my opinion on wether or not it should be done, I just told the op how to go about doing it.
Anyway Michael, good luck installing your 97+ kit on your 92 model soarer. Are you trying to make it look like a newer model? At least you know that if you damage the kit you can always buy one from someone that's wrecking a Lexus sc300/400.

I agree with Sebastian. The OP only asked how much and where he could get this done. At the end of the day it's his car so he has every right to put whatever he wants on it.
He could spray it pink for all I care. Just help the guy and move on.

No actually he didn't Michael. He only asked for facts, none of which you have provided which is why the op never thanked you. You haven't helped him in any way.
If he asked if he should put Lexus badges on then you can rant away but he didn't so take your Lexus badge hating issues elsewhere.

well you can read so you must be ignorant
every thread on every forum is open to peoples opinions as with all questions and information so yes by starting this thread the OP is open to the opinions and suggestions of everyone who views it
I see there's many times on SC where you have put forth your opinion without the request of the OP
Yes Dan you're exactly right I'm trying to make it look nice because at the moment its not, if it happens to look more modern than be it At the end of the day it will be a better looking 92 Toyota Soarer as for your last question i'm pretty sure you answered that yourself so i don't see why your confused

Care to elaborate?
It's unfortunate that you feel that every post a person makes on a forum is open to ridicule. I always thought forums were set up to help people, not inflate people's egos. Why cant you just be a nice guy and answer the question to help the guy out instead of putting him down for his sense of style.
I must say that I'm on a number of forums outside of cars and you don't get people flaming the way that you and Matt do so maybe it's just a car guy thing.

Yeah James I think there is a meet up on the 29th maybe?
I honestly didn't even know this was a big topic before I posted this thread, I have the griffin on the front which I am keeping, I was just considering changing the toyota badge to Lexus on the back as really, they are the same car and I personally like the lexus badge better. I don't really care if some people disagree with it either. I may or may not put it on yet, I just wanted to ask a simple question of how much and where to get it done. Thanks to the people who were of help
