Hey guys,

Have taken the drivers seat out of the Soarer to notice there is a pool of water under the carpet where the vent comes through the carpet.

Any idea where this could come from? Is there meant to be some form of drain or something to prevent this?

Adive would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Tim, clean out the door drain holes and check that the plastic liner is sealing the door. You need to remove the trim - about 5 minutes work - check the tutorials.

It could also be a blocked drain from the sunroof if you have one.

ok... have removed carpet from drivers side, door seal does not appear to be the culprit.

Have removed all the rubber bungs from in the floor... at least now it can drain out instead of pooling up

Checked the sunroof drains, they appear unblocked

The plastic sheet that covers the big hole in the door frame when the door trim is off.

If it's not sealed well around the bottom it will leak water into the car.

Also, as Peter said, the 3 or 4 drains in the bottom of the door could be blocked, check these.

I know the plastic sheeting was not there when I had the car stripped... might have to look into getting it replaced

Just wanted to thank tim for asking the question, i've been living with this problem for a while now. Recent rains make it worse. I just pulled the bung out under the carpet about a year ago, now spiders can get in but meh. :-)
