Hey all,
I know this is nigh on impossible and i have looked through the threads, but my Dad's car has a lot of slop around when you move the boot, and as you drive along all you can hear is the bang, bang, bang every time you hit a bump as the boot moves up and down in the lock. Can anyone tell me short of cutting into the body, is there a possible way to get the hinges out or has anyone had the same problem but found a fix for it?
Thanks heaps!

Boot hinges are just bolted on from memory, no cutting needed.

I would suggest that the rubber bumpers from the rear edge of the boot are broken or missing. Replace these and it should close tightly.

yes he has a uzz31 as well. the hinge part where it goes up under the rear underneath the back windscreen looks like its welded in. The rubber boots are are still there and its just when you open the boot all the way up and like wobble it and you can feel it move.

Are the bolts loose where the hinges bolt onto the actual bootlid??

Boots are really tight but even with the bolts tight it still has slop in the hinge itself
