I'm thinking about offsetting the the pearl white body with electric blue or ....... ? wheels, or maybe just straight black
Any good color ideas?

The other thing is, can I slap on 17", wider wheels without any modification or drastic losses. I thought it might give it a meatier look without lowering it.

Any inputs good, cheers

Man, 17" are still small wheels for Soarer. I have 18" and are barely OK. Sure you can. Offset 35 is ok and safe. And for the colour? White is always better than black. Good luck

18 is a good size. Black wheels on white is tough. For best looks 18x8 front and 18x9 rear. 35-40 offset. Unless you want to roll guards.

Bronze also works well, I agree 18" is a good size for the soarer.

Here is a semi recent one of mine.

Thanks fellas, I need to do the Japanese safety check this month with the original wheels ( Shaken every two yrs ) After that, 18" rims will be the go.
Used mag stores are booming here now so, they'll be cheap enough. I'm gonna be a tight a*rse on this car, just because it was a freebe and I'd like to see how cheaply I can turn it out

Picked up two sets of wheels & tires $570. 1 set / snow tires 16", the other set 18" I painted gloss black.
Pretty rapt with the look, I'll see if I can find red covers for the calipers.

BTW great site, found all info I've needed fast every time, great contributors.

The wheels look good but don't spoil them with cheap and nasty looking caliper covers. Just paint your calipers.

I'm sure you could easily source a set of cheap LS400/JZA80 4 pots over there to fit up & paint red though that would then require wheels with big brake clearance, haha.

17's are fine for those of us who prefer ride quality over looks and being "tough", "sik" and "slammed".

I'd Agree with you Mark, anything over 18's would be a compromise for the soarer. But regarding the look of the above rims, gloss black on pearl white does look attractive.

Wow - Whitewalls.
Would suit a white soarer nicely.

Only issue is they are from the USA.

Also, my personal opinion on the black rims on the white soarer: This looks ratty and shonky.
