Just wondering if anyone knows of a decent place in Adelaide to get my car painted. I have a white pearl now and want to go to a normal (non metalic/pearl) white. Has to be a bare metal job, as the paint is probably thicker than the steel atm! Have you guys found any problems with getting someone to do your bodywork here? I've been to umpteen paint shops and have got the following... don't wana work on an import, don't wana spray pearl (hello, I don't want to keep it pearl!) or $12,500 and it'l take 7 months. Here's the rest of the deal, I can't afford my car to off the road for any longer than 6 weeks at the most, and i really don't see the problem with that if people want to charge exorbedant amounts for labour. Let's look at this, few L of normal white 2pk, around $1500? That means they want $11,000 for labour?!? For that kind of dosh, I'd expect every employee in that workshop to be pulling 9hr days on my car, not just working on it in between crash jobs. Tell me if I'm being unreasonable here. Does anyone know of anyone in Adelaide that can do this, or do i have to go to mexico...

I've heard nothing but good things about Provident Crash repairs...a guy I work with had stuff done by them, the price seemed reasonable, and the work was really well done. I think I remember seeing somewhere on these forums someone else having work done by them and were very happy with the results as well.

Ben, there were a few recommendations when I needed some fixing done. I went with Edwardstown Crash Repair. There were a couple of issues I had to hassle about at the end, but the paint job and matchup are superb - as far as I can tell.

Yea that would be me Adam. Ben, I definitely recommend Paul at Provident crash, the guy is a legend and an absolute perfectionist. I had both sides of my car resprayed and you can't even tell the difference he blended the paint that well. Definitely recommend Paul
