Ok so i been thinking bout this for a long time.the bloke next door had a supra and ive had both parked next to each other and the door lines seem to line up. the idea came back to me today after seeing a early model soarer front end on a early model supra. any thoughts or no if it has been done???

i would't imagine it being to hard a job. the radiator support would need changing, to accomodate headlights. not a big job, drill out all spot welds holding the panel on then reweld onto soarer, attach front guards, bonnet, headlights,

i looked at this for about 2 hours,
u need to make up hinge mounts to fit a supra bonnet, weld some of the old bonnet to the top of the new guards to line up round the windscreen.
the soarer guards would need to be cut in half with the supra guards
custom bonnet latch required.
dont know about how the front lights will fit yet, custom brackets i presume
front bar is the least of the headaches.
its do-able, defiantely not easy or a weekend job though.
And its so expenisve, supra lights are the best part of a grand, 500 for the bonnet, and 300 a side for guards, then a front bar on top of that. not cheap.

hey Costa that lexus sc400 with infiniti (skyline) lights has got to be the worst fkn example for mods on a soarer i have ever seen lol..... i seen the clips on youtube of the owner talking about his mods of this car ages ago, he also butchered a 300zx too..... i will do a search now and post up the clips if i find them!

Yeah, remember finding those a year or so ago. Its not just that he's chosen to do a really stupid thing, but he's done a really, unbelievably bad job of doing it. Its like he held the G35 lamps against the cars and beat them with a hammer until they went in, then slopped some builders bog around the outsides with a ragiddy spatula, half arsed sand with some 80 grit, then some acrylic house paint on a 100mm brush to finish it off.

IMO the V35 tail lights look like arse on the V35 - why would you want to bastardise the look of a Soarer and 300ZX, which have very nice rear ends with the V35 tail lights?
Sopra tho.... Hmm Could be something that I may work on for a pisstake, maybe to piss Supra owners off as some of them have a stick up their bum about their cars being the best import ever

do it! the suproarer conversion1, as for the g35 tailight failures. concept and originality i give top marks for, but execution. fit and finish is absolutely horrid!!!! i totally agree with you there matthew. it does look like he beat them in and bogged. lol
