Back yard productions presents the FSG deamon in a new skin (allways wanted to use the backyard phrase).
I havent slept since 9pm yesterday and im hurting big time now esp my back but it was worth it , the photos are about an hour after spraying.

The front bumper is a one of, and as you can see its a black top with smooth bootlid, the mirrors are a two tone black and gold.

1st imppresions?

yeah, unfortunately Matthew its not so much the carcinogenic properties of 2Pak that is the biggest problem (thought it aint to bloody good either!!), total respitory failure can be an issue with 2K. Ive seen it happen to one bloke, not pretty.

Plenty of people have and still do use 2K without proper levels of protection and get away with it...for now. It is a big risk to take for a nice colour though.

Back on topic!

Shes looking sweet Jovica, I too love the tu-tone look. Ive always wanted to do the hood and roofline black aswell.

Avin if hes using the same paint Holden use, its made by PPG (dunno if they have patents on Fusion or not).

i was just joking about the dulux thing.....

Can someone explaint the different types of automotive paint?
What are most factory paint jobs?
what is 2Pak? oven baked enamel? Acrylic? and when is each used? what is the difference in their application?
Do they all / any have clear over the top?

(i know what enamel and acrylic are but when are the used on cars?)

Cheers

ooh yeh i would also like to know what factory paint is

umm as far as i know Avin 2pak is better than enamel/acrylics because its already mixed? I think they all need extra coats of clear on top

hmm, some good reading there!
I have attempted a few cars with aerosoles and clear coat with satisfactory but no where near professional results (bloody sisters keep running into things). I would love to prep and paint a whole car one day!
