Sorry also what would be a reasonable price to sell two second hand 94 light in perfect nick? I'm not selling them just considering prices to see if this is some thing i want to do
Well i got a 94 soarer and i have the newer lights on them(not sure what year i think their 96) and i haven't noticed any problems at all. Not sure if that helps probably doesn't at all

Adam, I don't think there's too much of a problem changing from '94 to '96 lights, it's only the early ones which cause problems.
Having said this I was shocked to note that our '97 has US-spec lights with big wedge globes. The fittings (holes) are marked for two different kinds of globes, ours are 7443.
The '94s should be worth over $100 each. If I had an early one I'd be changing to them as they are the nicest of the lot, and fairly rare on EBay etc. They don't seem to fetch as much as the "less nice" '96 and on.

The rear light fail module is the main problem. not sure if that affects changing from '94 to '97 but it does the earlier ones. The module can be modified to work if it is a problem.
