It actually IS black, the photo is a bit off (I've never actually seen a grey wiper arm...?). I wanted the smaller look, less Kenworth Truck-like, so I'm pleased. I have no idea what car it came from, I went to a wreckers as suggested and got one to fit. They didn't seem to know or care, but it looks a bit like a Subaru Legacy...

Lawrence- please let me know how well the wiper works in the rain- does it reach high enough to give a good field of vision through the rearview mirror?

Mark, the field of vision is fine, but I wasn't really bothered by functionality, I just wanted a better looking wiper. I think the original is spindly and looks more at home on a 1990 Camry wagon.

I actually never switch the rear wiper on.....!

ok, thanks Lawrence. I find my rear wiper isn't so great either and however many times i replace the blades i never get a clean and quiet sweep across the back glass, so will be doing a swap out with a more up to date wiper when I have time. Is it just a simple pull up to remove it?
