I'm contemplating whether to put on a kit of some kind on my factory green soarer. Though I feel it would not look good, for the reason being a green colour. I see kits on other coloured soarers, and they seem pretty good. So I'm asking for people to come forth and perhaps display some pictures to rekindle some interest.

There is one company in Oz doing a copy of it. The early ones from their molds were very nice, but the ones I have seen lately don't fit as well and are quite thin. One club member actually got a large hole in his because it delaminated.

Molds seem to stretch and have a specific lifetime. The more they get used, the harder the kits are for the panel shops to fit. What you save on a cheap kit, you can often spend trying to get someone to fit it properly.

When I sold my car (the one above) I purchased another kit for the new car, but now I'm going to run Auto Couture so I have a full, perfect spare kit.

I actually sold it last month to a member but then his turbos blew up and he was out of money so being the gracious idiot that I am, I gave him his money back so he can fix his car, so consequently the kit is available again.

Justin, a kit on a green soarer looks as good as any other colour. Look at the photos. It looks awesome.

So I take it a body kit looks good on a soarer no matter what the colour of it is.

Yes, depending on the kit and your personal taste. It really depends on what you think though, its your car, if you want a kit get one, if not, the soarer looks beautiful stock anyway (with new wheels of course)

Hi Rob,
Did you say you got the Auto Couture kit as a spare? I'm very keen on this kit. Can you tell me how much you are willing to sell it for?
Thanks

Dont worry Tran, I already tried =)

I've contacted AC directly, but with the dollar the way it is, I'd rather put a blower or manualise mine.

But but but.. The kit can wait, I curious of the cost. But of course if theres one available in Aus then that would be more ideal. But then again, alot of people are after this kit.
My kit is getting really old...

Works out to be about $3500 for the kit alone (top three items in Duys email), another $850 for phase 3 parts. Then another $700 for postage by ocean freight. All up $5k :-(

Forgot to include the 30% discount on the kit. So it will be reduced 1k, to $2500. So all up 4k delivered here. Its alright if you have the spare cash.

Vertex is having a 20pc discount on their vertex and vertex ridge on their website until end of November if anyone is interested.
