What are your thoughts on the image different badges portray?
For example: If i were to have a lexus badge i would be going for classy. If i had a toyota badge i would be going for that tuff motor look. If i had no badges i would be going for that "try me from the lights then to see what i've got" look.

yeh, i guess the Lexus badge to me says 'expensive', with a certain exclusivity...
To many, the shape of the car is modern enough to pass off as a recent model and with the gold lexus badging it is to some what looks like a very expensive vehicle, even though they're extremely affordable.
I was badgeless for a while, but I went for the Lexus badges in the end...

Mat, stay true. If it's a Toyota don't try and fool yourself or others that you drive a Lexus. A lot of the Soarer imports have some of the badges missing, so if you wish for that 'nude' look then don't bother with spoilers or other body kits either. Me, I just want that 'stock' look. After all Toyota went to great lengths to come up with that great Soarer look and most add-ons just don't look right.

I bought my car with Lexus Bages already on it. But ive always wanted the Toyota Badge and Grifin on the car. Once i can afford my respray ill be getting the Grifin and Toyota Badge. I dont like the Lexus being on there, specially when its a TT.

As I'VE said several times before.............it's whatever floats ya boat.
The car IS a Toyota Soarer, NOT a Lexus SC2500/SC300/SC400, but it is VERY common practice for them to be re-badged as such.
Mine, like Shane's, came with chrome Lexus SC400 badging. I changed the whole lot to Gold Lexus SC400 badging about a year ago. And now, I've just ordered a NEW Griffin, and Toyota boot badge, and will put the chrome SC400 badge back on the boot lid.
So basicaly I've got all options covered, as the mood takes me
If someone comes up and says "Nice Lexus", I tell em, "Err, no, it's a Toyota Soarer with "Wank factor" Lexus badging". Which is prolly a waste of time, coz I get blank looks in return. But they only have to read the rego label, and it plainly says TOYOTA SOARER GT 1991.

Nah Shannon, I don't think anybody really gives a rats, I, like you, don't!.
We did have one dude who used to regularly get on his soap box about how we shouldn't rebadge as Lexus, and he went on & on & on.........so he got nuked from the forum.........problem solved
I might go for "Toyota-Lexus-Soarer-SC400-GT4.0-2+2"

I have the toyota badges, i do still find it annoying though, when people ask me. Do you have a lexus soarer or a toyota soarer? or they'll see the car and say Oh my friend/brother/dad/dog has a soarer too, but his is a lexus. or someone says, the lexus soarers are so much nicer.
I usually spend 20 minutes explaining to them what the reality of the situation is, but now in the end i really just cant be assed anymore.
