I know this has been mentioned earlier, but I'm trying to remove the weathershields from our '95 Soarer to put on the '97. I nearly have the passenger side one off, all that remains is double-sided tape. Presumably this can be cleaned off the door and a new lot used for the new car? The little clips have been removed.
I'm surprised Airplex in NZ don't do this item for Soarers, they make good stuff.

Thanks, Jeff, I have already cut some with my trusty pocket knife. What can I use to clean off the old tape? I have Turps, Metho and White Spirits. Is this a special "weatherproof" grade of doublesided tape?

Mike, I got mine off with 2 new razor blades and a crap load of wax & grease remover. A couple of little hickups but all in all it worked fine. As for the clips, grab hold with a pair of pliers and pull, Hard.

JEEEBUS PEOPLE! Razor blades on ya paintwork! Get your hands on a good strong bit of medium sized fishing line and pull/saw through the tape with it. Can't slip then and works a treat.

Actually, I don't yet have them off, only the little scivets that hold them to the clips, and some of the glue on the passenger side. The fishing line's a good idea, I have heaps (as a fisherperson type)

I now have them both off, pretty easy, the hardest part was getting the old tape off the doors. No solvent worked well (couldn't get hold of prepsol in the small quantity needed) even tried eucalyptus oil. The most useful tool was a plastic knife, especially after it broke!
