Mate, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I remember Foliatec did a film in faux carbon, they used to be very popular and were easy to apply. Obviously, the fact you are doing it in proper vaccuum carbon means its gonna be a little harder!
But year, after searching all over the net for months to find kits that include the panels you are doing.....mate, your onto a winner!

im very busy at home at the mo so its very unlikely to happen until the new year, but it WILL happen..i have done a full piece for the drivers side now but i am unhappy with the fitment so i have to start afresh with a new mold and make sure the fitment is 100% before i can go ahead and do the full kit.cost wise im looking at £200 ukp for the kit.

Mate, that is NOICE! 200 squid, wuold that include the centre console area as well as door console area (i.e. switchgear suurrounds)? Frankly, I could do without the switch gear surrounds, as teh grey buttons stick out like dogs balls on teh wood grain versions. Basically, If I can replace all the wood in the car (so mercedes) with carbon for 200 shiny pommy ones, then it sounds like a deal!

the price is not final yet but will be only the door and centre dash parts, the stereo surround etc are not really going to be worthwhile as there are several different types needed, emv, non emv etc etc. i did a BFI cover this week, its not laquered yet so not very shiney but you get the idea..

well i bet you all thought i had forgotten about this, nope! i had a change of plan as i wasnt happy with the quality so i am now overlaying,ie bonding, carbon directly onto the stock panels, very time consuming but awesome results.ive finished my insert set and nearly finished the wooden panels that surround the emv and shifter, these are labourious lol but they will look great whan done, the middle 2 parts in the pic are done.

im selling these in the UK,four sets sold so far so anymore would be at least 6 weeks away.if people want parts doing then you need to send them to me in the UK,not too difficult these days.price is £175 for the door parts and dash vent surround, plus shipping, other panels such as the EMV and shifter surround are extra.not cheap but unique and bespoke, there will be maybe 10 sets being produced by me in the world.

those look awsome stewart .
i don't mean to hijack your thread but there is also a place here in brisbane that does the same sort of stuff .It might be a lil easier and cheaper than sending all your parts to the Uk.. www.modicoat.com ..i'm gonna try to get up there tomorrow sometime to have a closer look and get a quote on getting my a/c and shifter surrounds and the wood insert done in carbon fiber ... i can let you know how much if you interested
