I had to run to work so no after pics atm but ill put them up tommorow.
Benny, it was an absolute breeze, the only thing i suggest is sticking the little aluminium extension bit to the inside of the new shifter rather than on top of the bare white push down thingy mijigy. The supplied double sided sticky organge pad is garbage so i suggest you use some proper doublesided tape/or cut off a piece from the supplied 3M tape with the handbrake cover( its a good idea as i did that to stop is flexing to much on the front so it doesnt crack).

I just got mine installed as well. Took me more than 3 hours - mostly mucking around with solder, loosing screws and getting the shifter to work.
Do as Jovica suggested. Put the metal-looking rund thingie into the shifter with a bit of double-sided tape at the top to make it stick.
Also, take out the now unused switch for the overdrive (the white bit next to the one with the spring) and pull a bit more wire up so you can put it down below into the cavity below the shifter. The wires will fit into the new shaft sleeve. If you don't do this then the metal coloured bit you glued into the shifter may hit it and you can't use the big button on top of the gearstick.
When you adjust the height of the stick I found it best to put the car in Park and turn on the ignition. You will find the position where everything work best from there. If it's not adjusted correctly you will not be able to turn the car complete off and take out the key.

I got mine today, installed in about an hour.
A question though... those who got the woodgrain ones, are the patterns/colours different between the shifter and handbrake cover? Mine are quite different...

Jeff's looks much closer than mine. I think its mainly cause the handbrake is dark as it has a lot of pattern, whilst the shifter doesn't have much pattern.
Hopefully, it won't be too big a deal as im hoping it can all be matched along with the console when it is modicoated.
